Hero’s Path

Last year, I received the news that Akira Toriyama had passed away.

I felt a shift inside me and started crying...

I acknowledge that I have spent countless hours watching and rewatching his masterpiece, Dragon Ball. A person’s soul is often reflected in their work, especially in something as passionate and creative as this. So, in a way, I feel like I know Akira Toriyama better than some of the people close to me.

Well, I decided to make a Dragon Ball AMV—my first one. And for me, it had to be epic.

I based the AMV on Goku’s "Hero’s Path" story from the first Dragon Ball saga, where he starts from the "empty" or "void" (a key concept in Buddhism, meaning nothingness or the absence of self) and grows through each challenge and adventure until he becomes the hero who defeats the ruthless Piccolo.

For this special occasion I picked one of the most epic trance tracks that I know: Cabballero - Hymn.
